MADC are thrilled to announce their March 2025 production of Michael Green’s super comedy (or shall we say comedies!) THE COARSE ACTING SHOW, directed by Stephen Oliver, bringing you a grand total of SIX brilliant short comedies in ONE EVENING at Teatru Salesjan AND Teatru Manoel!!

Based on Michael Green’s brilliant best-selling book 'The Art of Coarse Acting’, THE COARSE ACTING SHOW is a crazy set of comedies that go wrong, displaying everything that is bad about actors, set designers, hair and makeup and costume design. How plays are horribly miscast and how sound and light technicians with limited knowledge can destroy a performance all played deadly seriously.

The show is broken down into 6 short plays all showing actors at their worst. STREUTH, the classic murder mystery, A COLLIER’S TUESDAY TEA, a gritty Northern drama, complete with dodgy accents, ALL’S WELL THAT ENDS AS YOU LIKE IT, the very worst in Shakespearean performance, LAST CALL FOR BREAKFAST, one of those overly pretentious Arthaudian/Beckett style pieces, JULIUS and CLEOPATRA, complete with chariot race and finally THE CHERRY SISTERS, deliciously Chekovian.
